January 5 (1/5) is known in Japan as 'Ichigo Day' or "Strawberry Day." (In Japanese, 'ichi' means one, 'go' means five, and 'ichigo" means strawberry.) The farm offers a unique strawberry-picking experience, where visitors can pick strawberries while standing, instead of having to crouch down. You can enjoy all-you-can-eat strawberries for 40 minutes, including varieties such as 'Ichigo-san,' 'Saga Honoka,' and the white strawberry known as 'Awayuki,' among the seven varieties on offer there. |
