Farm Information | In Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, pears are grown in the confident soil that has been created by three generations since my grandfather's generation.
We are particular about soil preparation, using only the least amount of chemical fertilizers and fully matured compost (with effective microorganisms).
We are also committed to reducing the use of agricultural chemicals, and value the relationship of trust we have with our customers.

We are proud of our fruit: Tochigi pears "Nikkori," which are delicious because of the "abundant sunshine," "fertile soil," and "clear water. The taste is the same as our father's. The size is the same as our mother's. In size, they are a thoroughbred, after my mother. My father's is "Hosui," which has a great taste, and my mother's is "Niitaka," which is a fertile variety. I was born in 1984 at the Agricultural Experiment Station of Tochigi Prefecture. Nikkori" was named after "Nikko," a sightseeing spot in Tochigi Prefecture, and "Li," the Chinese word for pear. Nikkori" is harvested from mid-October. Freshly harvested pears are the best, but "Nikkori" pears can be stored in a cool, dark place until around the New Year's holiday. We are confident of the taste and size of our Nikkori, so please try them. They are also popular as year-end gifts.
