Japan Fruits Fukuoka Airport Store, which opened in November, offers seasonal fruits such as ‘Wase Mikan’ from Ishibashi Orchard in Saga Prefecture, ‘Fuyu Persimmons’ from Iwashita Orchard in Fukuoka Prefecture, and ‘Atago Pears’ from Juri Garden in Fukuoka Prefecture, with more seasonal fruits arriving all the time.

Strawberry season has finally arrived. The first strawberries this year are ‘Awayuki,’ white strawberries from Kishikawa Farm in Saga Prefecture. Awayuki is a variety of white strawberry with pale pink skin tinged with white. It offers a gentle sweetness and mild acidity. Its charming appearance, reminiscent of white snow softy dusting the strawberry, perfectly matches the name ‘Awayuki’.

Next are the bright red ‘Yubeni’ strawberries from Kumamoto. Customers have been captivated by the color contrast they make with the white ‘Awayuki’ strawberries!

And speaking of Fukuoka, their hallmark strawberry is the ‘Amaou.’ The countdown to its arrival has begun.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the “Access Hall” opened in the arrival lobby on the first floor of the International Terminal Building, and the ‘Fukuoka Airport International Tourist Information Center’ reopened after its renovation! The information center (open from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM) also provides information about fruit-picking tours. Be sure to stop by before setting off on your sightseeing adventure!
