A huge sign with Akazukin (Little Red Riding Hood), along with a small flag stands at the entrance on national road 150, so it is easy to find.<\/p>\n<p>The farm cultivates strawberries, sweet potatoes, watermelons and melons, so visitors can enjoy various fruits throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>The popular event at this farm is the all-you-can-eat strawberry picking, held for seven months, from November 11th to June 1st. Soft and sweet \u201cAkihime\u201d strawberry, along with \u201cBeni-hoppe,\u201d a Shizuoka-born brand, are cultivated inside the greenhouse, which is about 20000 square meters in size.<\/p>\n<p>To enjoy strawberry picking, a reservation by telephone or e-mail (either in Japanese or English) is required. An e-mail reservation must be sent a week before the visit.<\/p>\n<p>From 10:00 to 13:30, the farm tends to get crowded, so visitors may have to wait, even with reservations.<\/p>\n<p>The charge for the strawberry picking changes every year. Please check the farm\u2019s official site, as it will be listed in October.<\/p>\n<p>At Akazukin Farm, visitors can also enjoy harvesting melons.
